At our second CPA Dinner at the Pan Pacific in Broadgate, CPA Chair Ross Sayers (Head of Development Management, Landsec) celebrated the strides being made across the Square Mile to create a ‘Destination City’, showcasing the amazing work CPA members are doing to make the area a seven-day a week hub.
In the keynote speech delivered by Chris Hayward (Policy Chairman, City of London Corporation), the renaissance currently unfolding in the City was brought to life as he highlighted one of the highest levels of office construction starts in any year since 2016 and the number of proposed new towers due to be brought to the Planning and Transportation Committee. Chris also explored how the City Corporation’s City Plan 2040 will aim to deliver 1.2m sqm of additional office floorspace to house an additional 66,000 jobs, declaring this is well and truly underway.
