City Region Connectivity
We have also published research featuring a foreword by Manchester’s Metro Mayor Andy Burnham, alongside a series of recommendations in relation to the Government’s Levelling Up agenda. Produced in partnership with Sheffield Property Association, it called for greater investment in transport infrastructure to help address inequality within and between the UK’s city regions, whilst also making the case for continued investment in London. One City Research
CPA research exploring the potential of our OneCity digital platform to support the economic recovery of the City post pandemic has been instrumental in helping to secure the platform’s future. OneCity was awarded £100,000 funding over two years by the City Corporation’s Central Grants Programme earlier this year, in recognition of its role in driving footfall and community participation among younger people. One City’s Instagram account now has nearly 80,000 followers and on its TikTok account, a OneCity viral has attracted over 500,000 views. See more on OneCity further below.

BIDs and Business Partnerships in the City of London
CPA has also produced a guide to the City’s BIDs and business partnerships in collaboration with the City Corporation and Primera. Last month, the City Corporation approved the formation of two of the business partnerships into fully fledged BIDs, so we look forward to updating our guide next year. Read the guide or catch up on our webinar exploring the role of BIDs in the City.

Policy & consultations
CPA has responded to several important consultations and developed policy positions throughout the year, including supporting the City Corporation’s Article 4 directions and engaging closely with the Draft City Plan 2036, which will set the framework for development for the next 10-15 years. The CPA has also contributed to the Climate Action Strategy alongside a series of public realm strategies and visions, such as the Eastern Cluster and Fleet Street, the Recovery and Culture and Commerce Taskforces, and supported the creation of BIDs and business partnerships.
