Tuesday 6 March 2018 saw members of the CPA gather for the launch of our joint research with the City of London ‘The City as a Place for People’ at Turner and Townsend, with great views over St Paul’s Cathedral.
Christopher Hayward, Chairman of the Planning and Transportation Committee at the City of London kicked off proceedings, by taking members through the highlights of the report. He focused particularly on the figures that show London is the best European city for businesses, according to 58% of institutional investors, the clear front runner, and almost three times more popular than the next city on the list, Dublin, at 22%.
Dr Laura Davison, Head of Research at the City of London Economic Development Office, provided members with a more thorough overview of the report, delving into the methodology and long term impact of the findings.
